KNOW YOUR WORTH: WHAT TO EXPECT AND WHAT TO AVOID WHEN YOU LOOK FOR A JOB

The MDACC Women Cardiologists Section is hosting a webinar focusing on the process of looking for jobs, interviewing, and negotiating employment contracts.  Advice about the hunt for, and process of landing, the right job can be the key piece of information that sets you up on the career path that is right for you.  A group of local female cardiologists that represent different career paths will shed some light on this important career transition.

Topics to be covered:

      • A quick synopsis of your own job search and contract negotiation process
      • How to define what position is right for you and how to find jobs that meet those criteria (including questions or work life balance, maternity leave, etc.)
      • How to prep for the interviews (both informal and formal), what to bring up in interviews and when
      • Contract negotiation - how to approach it, do’s and don'ts, personal successes and failures on this front
      • Q&A
